Maintenance Mechanic
Full time permanent role
1st Shift- Location: Windsor, CT
Pay range $32 - $38.00 per hour
Requirements: Maintenance Mechanic
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and perform diagnostic testing as well as scheduled maintenance on CNC Machines.
Must be mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot Hydraulics and Electrical and Pneumatics etc.
Must have 3-5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with general run of machine shop operations, floor assembly, and usual shop maintenance.
Hydo-mechanical and electronic manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.) Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. from time to time, climb ladders, use Lifts, long-term standing.
Blueprints, specifications and instructions range to complex.
Functional and dimensional tolerances range close.
Work must be to code and specification requirements.
Wide variety of checking and measuring instruments used.
Act as back-up for other maintenance personnel.
Work Overtime as needed when machines are down to prevent production standstill.
Responsibilities: Maintenance Mechanic
The Sr. Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for preparing and performing operations in connection with moving, installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide diversity of equipment, attachments, and facility component, including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, refrigeration, machine tool and all types of production equipment including test stands and machinery. Must be skilled in at least one of the trades and be proficient in all disciplines listed above, and able to perform the necessary functions of the position without direct maintenance supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance Mechanic
Procedures are standardized to a small degree, however, in addition to the functions, duties and responsibilities set forth above, must also be able to perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, battery operated vehicles, and equipment. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
