Maintenance Mechanic - SURESTAFF

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an entry level Maintenance Tech. for a large, established client located in Waukegan, IL. The Maintenance Tech will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time.   This position will perform electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, welding, and pipefitting duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts. This position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.  SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($22/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.   Available shift include 3rd shift availability.   Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.  Responsibilities of the Maintenance Tech:   

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.  
• Repair all production equipment as needed.   
• Perform general housekeeping duties. 
• Update equipment, machinery, and tools as needed.   
• Comply with GMP, safety, OSHA, and audit standards.  

 Preferred Qualifications of the Maintenance Tech:   

• 3+ years’ experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• 1+ years experience in injection molding preferred. 
• Mechanically inclined experience is a must. 
• Proven track record of effective problem-solving. 
• Strong communication skills.
