POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Mechanic you will perform root-cause analysis and analytical problem solving on a large variety of equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems in order to maintain and repair equipment. You will be responsible for all machines, equipment, the building, and grounds.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for the design, modification, adaptation, installation, improvement, optimization and maintenance of equipment, controls, and facilities.
• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PMs) on manufacturing equipment, update and maintenance of the PM database.
• Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Act as agent for procurement of service contracts/repair work; assist with purchase of many facility fixtures and equipment.
• Acts as an agent for the procurement of service specifically related to chemical delivery and removal.
• Work closely with management and outside consultants for the monitoring and delivery of regulatory requirements (Federal, State, County and City).
• Work as a point of contact with local emergency management teams on alarm systems and response.
• Respond in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
• Make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Prepare required reports and correspondence.
Maintain all equipment logs for degreaser and Anhydrous Ammonia system.
• Operate material handling equipment and mobile elevating platforms in accordance with operational requirements.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, industrial maintenance, and other generally accepted maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of all types of hand, power and pneumatic tools, machine shop tools and cutters, manual and CNC machine tools, heat treat equipment, etc.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical prints, diagrams, and technical repair manuals.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
• Physically capable of performing the labor required for the position.
• Thorough understanding of safety requirements and protocols.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams and committees.
• Sound judgment with the ability to make timely and informed decisions.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to thrive in a dynamic work environment and adjust to changing daily schedules.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
READING SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and comprehend materials in English.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to apply common sense' understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
