AmeriPride Services is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic.
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the branch facility and service machinery in order to ensure safe, quality and smooth operation at the branch. Ensures that the plant is open and ready and starts up all necessary equipment. Observe, test, and repair equipment and facilities as needed. Assists other areas of the branch as requested and needed.

Responsibilities:
- Arrives early to open plant facilities and begin daily operations.
- Power up equipment for daily usage
- Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Follows the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule for key production equipment.
- Responsible for completing all general and basic repairs on the machinery.
- Identify and report all other major repairs that need to be completed on the machinery.
- Assists in other production departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree (GED) in technical (or related discipline) or equivalent business/work experience.
- Excellent mechanical dexterity and ability
- Standard calculator, be able to complete simple measurements.
- Proved track record of increasing responsibility with documented business results
- 1 – 3 years of experience in Industrial Laundry Maintenance
- Certification (or ability to obtain) in Steam Boiler and Air Conditioning Maintenance
- Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) experience helpful
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, HAZmat procedures and regulations helpful
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in business or related discipline or equivalent business/work experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, yet willing and able to work effectively with ambiguous circumstances.
- Demonstrated capability with competencies for the position.
- Advanced knowledge in Electrical, Maintenance and Plumbing
