Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of our pallet wrappers along with general maintenance of warehouse, facility and grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains company assets in a quality fashion through a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational controls associated with our pallet wrapper systems.
- Performs other maintenance repairs and duties in and around the facility as assigned by management.
- Works with vendors on warranty repairs and installation of all warehouse equipment.
- Checks in with the warehouse manager daily to discuss the projects for the day.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports for repaired equipment.
- Maintains and organizes all parts inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Mechanics or other related field preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of mechanical or other relevant experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used for pallet wrapper repairs. Additionally, knowledge of and experience with warehouse equipment repairs and maintenance is preferred.
- Electrical knowledge is required.
- Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and performing repairs is preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of lock-out-tag-out procedures.
- Knowledge, acquisition and ability to operate power, mechanical and hand tools is required. This may include diagnostic equipment, Acetylene, electric arc welders, etc.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and/or written communications including service specifications from manufacturers.
- Ability to operate all the necessary equipment in a safe and efficient manner is required. Including but not limited to: forklifts, scissor lifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Intermediate computer skills are required.

- Successful completion of Post-Offer Pre-Employment Physical Assessment
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
