Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plant processing, facility and support equipment.
Location city, state : Pine Island, MN
Hours: 6pm - 6am (2 days on 2 days off)
Wage: $30.15

Job duties will include but are not be limited to the following:
Scope:
Operating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing plant machinery, facility systems and equipment;
Perform inspections, and evaluations on various equipment and systems;
Oversee, perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
Secondary Function:
Operation of Waste Water Treatment Plant when assigned
Perform other duties as assigned.

Use proper lifting techniques, 60 LBS lifting limit.
Follow facility, and OSHA safety rules and procedures.
Encourage safe work techniques for all employees.
Perform all duties safely and to use discretion to prevent injuries.
Complete annual safety refresher training requirements.
Physical Responsibility:
May be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and intense noises
Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull and stoop and lift when performing work.
Capability of lifting 55 lbs. on a routine basis
Must be able to wear hearing protection in required areas
Must be able to wear full face mask respirator when working with ammonia systems
Interpersonal/Organizational Responsibilities:
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be able to follow written methods, paying close attention to details
Must be able to follow specific work direction and adjust as necessary to accomplish the job
Must be able to maintain legible & accurate records / paperwork as required
Must have communication skills to properly explain equipment issues to Production, Lab, or other Maintenance Personnel during pre-shift meetings, at shift hand off, and during your shift
Must have the ability to communicate positively to all LOL, customer, regulatory or vendor representatives as needed
Must maintain highly professional and respectful working relationships, and to receive work direction
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 Years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment desired
- Associate's Degree, or a two year technical degree in an electrical or maintenance program desired.
- 1st class or higher boilers License desired
Basic Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of applicable, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations;
• Knowledge of electrical principles;
• Knowledge of mechanical principles;
• Knowledge of basic electronics principles;
• Skill in using various instruments testing equipment
• Skill in repairing various equipment and systems;
• Skill in calibrating equipment;
• Ability to use computers and computer software
• Must be willing to respond to afterhours calls including weekends and holidays;
• Must be willing to work late or come in early when needed.
Desirable Qualifications
• Skill in training others in instrumentation;
• Skill in reading and interpreting diagrams and blueprints;
• Ability to read and prepare single line schematics, ladder logic diagrams, loop
diagrams and other instrumentation and control drawings
