This is a full-time position with a consistent weekday schedule, providing stability and opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair issues.
- Observe machinery during operation to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform basic electrical work, such as replacing motors, switches, sensors, and photo eyes.
- Troubleshoot issues inside electrical panels (arc flash training provided).
- Inspect and repair mechanical components, including bearings, seals, gearboxes, motors, and pumps.
- Set up and operate tools like drill presses, grinders, mills, and lathes safely and effectively.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed to support production processes.
- Maintain boilers, compressors, and refrigeration systems, including startup, shutdown, and routine checks.
- Collaborate with operations teams during daily activities, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
- Support inventory management, including ordering, organizing, and stocking parts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of machinery.
- Basic electrical knowledge, with PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Welding and metal fabrication skills strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Certifications in welding, refrigeration, or PLCs are a plus.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions, including extreme temperatures and damp or drafty environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds using proper techniques.
- Standing, walking, and using hands for extended periods.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, from extreme heat to cold, as required by production needs.
Salary info:
$22 - $30 / hr
