Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in Patterson, CA.
As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:
- Perform regular maintenance and repair on machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on production equipment and facility systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace components, such as motors, pumps, belts, and other mechanical parts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and repair history in compliance with company policies.
- Ensure all maintenance work is conducted in adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist with equipment installations and upgrades, including mechanical and electrical setups.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues and support production needs.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to reduce downtime and production interruptions.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of waste materials.
- Participate in training programs to stay current with new technologies and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of industrial machinery and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting to supervisors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Capable of working in various environments, including noisy and challenging work areas.
