Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Location: Davie
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to service requests, utilizing resources effectively to ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of equipment and systems.
- Perform equipment maintenance, adjustments, and operation for various machinery, including tablet counters, conveyors, printers, and cartoners, following all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Support production teams with machine setups to meet daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Conduct and document routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring any unusual conditions are logged through CMMS.
- Perform tests on mechanical and electrical equipment, including amperage, voltage, and resistance tests.
- Actively contribute to team goals by providing suggestions and supporting departmental efficiency.
- Adhere to SOPs, safety guidelines, and GMP standards with precise, accurate documentation.
- Evaluate, remove, and repair equipment as needed, and support the installation of new machinery.
- Conduct repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and assist with welding when required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training, Associate degree, or Trade School Certificate in a relevant field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in equipment maintenance, ideally within a food or GMP-regulated environment.
- Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Clear, legible handwriting and strong documentation skills.
- Proficient basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Strong organizational abilities with a knack for multitasking and setting priorities independently.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, particularly lockout/tagout procedures.
- Competence in computer systems and CMMS.
