Overview
Aegis Aerospace is actively recruiting for a mid-level COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) (Top Secret) to join our dynamic team at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This role requires accountability of COMSEC material, related security education, and performing audits and inventories. CRO duties will be split approximately 50/50 with Hardware (HW) Engineering duties. HW responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all IT and telecom equipment according to safety regulations, preventative maintenance schedules, and existing equipment protocols. HW duties additionally include working with the Configuration Management Team to assist in Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs).

Responsibilities
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform COMSEC Management System account configuration and management
- Perform Crypto Key order and pickup
- Perform Crypto Key load on a monthly and annual basis on various equipment
- Perform monthly document review on appropriate standard forms and access lists
- Conduct monthly inventories of all holdings
- Accomplish annual training renewal from base account
- Conduct COMSEC and Secure Voice user training annually
- Author and endorse local SOPs (standard operating procedures)
- Semi-annual inspections from the base account
- Keep Emergency Action Plans (Fire, Bomb, Hostile Action, Emergency Destruction) up-to-date and endorsed by base account
- Perform technical reviews of mechanical engineering designs, calculations, analyses, drawings, or specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives or standards
- Perform various duties to install and maintain equipment and systems
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of facility and equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs
- Manage a storage facility with tools and supplies for supporting several ground systems within a classified area
- Anticipate about 10% travel to Schriever SFB and the greater Colorado Springs area over the course of a year
- Participate in on-call support, up to 25% of time a year. When on call, the individual must be sober and within the Kirtland AFB local area (response time of 60 minutes or less).
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI throughout contract
- Minimum of 2-3 years COMSEC experience
- Experience supporting IT equipment, including cabling, racks, servers, switches, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners
- Demonstrated track record of adhering to tight schedules with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple and competing resources
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architectural field or equivalent with 5 years of experience working with hardware/facilities associated with computer racks and work stations. Professional experience of 4 years may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
