What this job involves –
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic Helper to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic Helper, you will work closely with our Maintenance Mechanic to support and assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Your day to day:
- Strong people skills, interacting with clients face to face to address/resolve their concerns in a timely matter.
- Assist the Maintenance Mechanic in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues in equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machines, inspecting equipment, and replacing worn parts.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
- Conduct inspections on facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
- Clean and organize work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance projects and minimize downtime.
- Assist in sourcing and ordering parts and supplies as needed.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends related to equipment maintenance and repair.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maintenance-related role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of machinery and equipment operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills will be considered a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in tight spaces.
- Will service 5 locations in the NYC area, need to mechanical versed in HVAC and Electrical trouble shooting.
Estimated total compensation for this position:
80,912.00 – 80,912.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
