Maintenance Mechanic

Exceptional opportunity exists for a Full-time maintenance mechanic for our manufacturing client located near Utica, NY. Seeking a self-motivated individual to perform a wide range of mechanical maintenance tasks including welding, fabrication and repair. This is a Full-Time overnight position, from 11:30pm-7:30am.

The selected candidate will use prior experience and judgement to repair and maintain Mechanical/ Pipe Fitting and hydraulics. Within an industrial manufacturing setting. Prior experience with welding, machining and other fabrication and rigging, along with aligning machines will be needed in this position. Various preventative maintenance tasks will be carried out on a nightly basis to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

We want to talk with candidates who are able to read blueprints, schematics and manuals and bring the ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment. You'll be willing to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime as needed. Journeyman status in the trade or equivalent experience. You should possess welding certifications AWS D14.1 (Industrial Mill crane welding). Welder certified to ASTM & AISI A-53 as it pertains to section IX of the boiler SMAW. MT252 Fluid mechanics course is desired.
