What You'll Do:
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing various facility and general machine maintenance repairs to ensure a safe, continual operation that will meet or exceed customer and business goals.
Your Accountabilities In The Role:
- Prioritizes daily tasks and projects along with unforeseen challenges to ensure all necessary and committed tasks are complete, on time, and error free (OCE).
- Performs preventative and predictive maintenance safely with facility operations and production equipment (as needed), ensuring the operation is consistently maximizing up time.
- Sets up, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment, as needed, efficiently and during appropriate times to minimize operation downtime.
- Performs basic programming and edits to machine programs to ensure optimal machine functionality.
- Coordinates outside vendors for facility and operational projects, as directed, to meet project goals.
- Responsible for procuring any maintenance tools, supplies, outsourced labor or other necessary items, as approved, in the most cost-effective manner.
- Maintains positive relationships and interfaces with a variety of personnel, customers, and vendors throughout the company to provide optimal support.
- Operates production machinery or performs assembly tasks, as needed, to support the area(s).
- Supports leaders and other team areas as needed to meet overall team goals.
- Assists in the pick-up and delivery of parts/products as needed to meet due dates.
- Keeps an eye on safety hazards and reports areas of concern to the Safety Manager or Coordinator.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred. Will consider a combination of education and skill.
- Experience: 2+ years of facility and general production machine maintenance experience in a production environment required. Willing to train and learn CNC program editing and setup.
- Certification(s): Forklift experience preferred. Valid Driver's License.
- Functional Skills: General to advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, carpentry, plumbing, and some PLC. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, dimensions, and production orders with basic math skills required. The position also requires a solid problem-solver/decision maker; someone who pays close attention to detail and has the ability to plan, prioritize & utilize time efficiently. Fundamental application of 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Lean concepts is also preferred. Good working knowledge and experience with AC and DC controllers, including setting and troubleshooting preferred. Able to perform editing to production machines, where required. Able to document and store information accurately and timely.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid PC skills with some experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and maintenance software.
- Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills are required. Will work with internal team, customers and vendors on a regular basis.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong work ethic and values, focused on the customer and quality, able to relate to others well and stay calm in stressful situations; high level of accuracy with the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas, handling and following all Safety requirements.

Other Important Information:
Position Status & Salary: Hourly Position with OT Pay and year-end bonus; Pay is negotiable based on years of experience.
And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To: Manufacturing & Quality Engineer
Core Hours: 5:00 am - 4:30 pm (Mon -Friday; will work 8-9 hours per day within this timeframe with some weekend work)
Travel: Limited; Approx 20%
Work Conditions: Must have ability to operate assembly equipment, power and hand tools, screw guns, etc. and have the ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, squat, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly to move product. Must be able to see color.
