Shift: 8-hour shifts, 6-2:30, with on-call availability for emergencies; rotating schedule: Mon-Fri and Tue-Sat, every other week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bakery Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the consistent operation of our bakery equipment and facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that our bakery operates efficiently and meets all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance activities to keep equipment in top condition.

• Complete work orders efficiently and safely.

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.

• Utilize power tools, hand tools, and standard shop equipment.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on bakery equipment and machinery and follow required frequency.

• Perform daily pre-operation inspection of equipment.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components such as bearings, conveyors, motors, pumps, and more.

• Coordinate with the production team and food safety team to develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.

• Conduct test runs on all equipment post repairs or preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, evaluations, and maintenance procedures.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.

• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and overall maintenance of the bakery facility.

• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.

• Communicate maintenance situations and project status clearly to management team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.

• Knowledge of bakery equipment and machinery.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

• Electrical experience preferred.

• Basic computer skills preferred.

• Ability to drive forklift and/or scissor lift preferred.

• Valid driver's license mandatory

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

• Ability to work in varied, especially hot temperatures.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts; 6:00AM - 2:30PM; 40 hours per week; OT as needed

• Week A: Monday - Friday; Week B: Tuesday - Saturday;
• Schedule rotates every other week

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• *On call for emergency-situations*
