CNC Machine Operator/Programmer (2^nd Shift) - Akron, OH - JOB 24-00110

Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $33.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits

2^nd Shift 5:00PM – 3:30AM (Training conducted on 1^st Shift)

Our client located in Northern Summit County is seeking a 2^nd Shift CNC Machine Operator/Programmer. Key responsibilities of the CNC Machine Operator/Programmer are to retrieve data and create programs to maximize machine utilization. Ensure parts machined match current data and meet tolerance requirements. Complete preventative maintenance as required.

Requirements:

• High School graduate (Technical School graduate is a plus)
• 3 – 5 years' CNC Machine Operator/Programming experience.
• Experience/Knowledge with 5 axis machines.
• Experience with Vertical and Horizontal Milling.
• NC program experience required.
• Solid knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints & performing set-ups.
• Must have good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience verifying settings by measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points on first-run part
• Ability to clean and perform inspections of the first-run part, machines, and tooling.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
• Experience with calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed and depth, and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control according to guidelines.
• Excellent experience performing routine maintenance on machines as required.
• Must have good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Must be able to work 2^nd shift 5:00PM – 3:30AM (Training on 1^st Shift)
