Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to work in the Toledo, OH area.

- Assist with the installation and repair of food processing equipment and machinery.
- Ability to use appropriate hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment according to safety and OSHA guidelines. Comfortable in the use of PPE.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures to identify problems and develop a plan for repair or replacement, managing the project through correction of the problem, usually working on fairly short timelines, particularly when the problem impacts production.
- Coordinate the planned maintenance of all equipment in the plant to ensure operations are down as short a time as possible to ensure customer orders are met.
- Perform the regular maintenance of specific components such as the Metal Detector in accordance with all regulatory and corporate policies and practices.
- Overall knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures and a good understanding of Company standards for efficient and effective maintenance standards.
- May lead projects as needed; ability to work independently but supporting a team philosophy, with a coaching approach that gets the work done.
- Broad maintenance knowledge and experience, with expertise and passion in at least one of the following areas: Electrical, Welding, Mechanical, and/or PLCs.
- Proper usage of maintenance tools and equipment in order to be in a position to support the team and perform emergency repairs when needed.
- The ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, equipment manuals.
- Efficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and comfortable in the safe use of all power tools and equipment.
- Understand processes for diagnosing problems on the lines and able to develop a project plan to resolve issues efficiently and in keeping with regulatory requirements.
- Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and project plans.
- Ability to create, read and understand reports as well as the ability to break down technical issues into simple language for non-technical operators to understand.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Diplomacy, tact and a positive approach to problems is required in managing the implementation of solutions.
- Education in a trade or vocation environment or through an apprenticeship program.
- Comprehensive experience in a plant or industrial maintenance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a food processing environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to move about regularly and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Regular need to reach bend, squat, and work in fairly confined spaces.
- Able to climb ladders and crawl underneath the lines to diagnose problems.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and drawings.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.
- Able to communicate with other employees.
- Will work primarily in the plant environment.
