Maintenance Mechanic
2nd shift, 3pm-1:30am, Monday-Thursday, possible OT
$23-$30/hr BOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
- Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
- Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
- Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
- Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
- Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.
- Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing various machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanic (not electronic) principles.
- Acquiring and retaining knowledge of basic and routine maintenance and repair procedures.
- To communicate effectively (written and verbally) with team member and operations team at all levels.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Replacing defective parts of machine or adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts.
- Repairing and lubricating machines and equipment.
- Maintaining appropriate service and repair records using the CMMS system
- All other duties as assigned

- Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time
- Act competently in emergencies
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines for all, hand tools, power tools, processing, packaging, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics
- Ability to use Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to be proficient using CMMS system
- Ability to work successfully with all maintenance, and operations personnel.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components
