WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Cloud Software Engineer 2, you’ll be part of the Analytic Hosting Platform team, leveraging Java and open-source products like Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo to drive data-intensive analytics. We're looking for a self-motivated Software Developer with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Here’s what you’ll do and the qualifications you’ll bring:
- Work with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to enable data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.
- Participate in team projects and work independently to complete tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Engage with various technologies based on customer requirements, enhancing your skill set and versatility.
- Handle the deployment and management of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Apply your knowledge of the Map Reduce programming model and technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Pig to optimize data processing.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline (Five (5) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree)
- Experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
- Familiarity with Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible.
- Proactive approach to tasks, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and effective problem-solving.
