We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by minimizing downtime, optimizing machine performance, and maintaining a safe working environment. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in managing maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity and performance of machinery and equipment.
2. Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions.
4. Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained at all times.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a positive and proactive work environment.
6. Liaise with external contractors and vendors, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
7. Implement and oversee quality control procedures, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and regulations.
8. Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
9. Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance management role within the food manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
4. Strong knowledge of inventory management and quality control procedures.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
8. Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets.
9. Proficiency in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
10. A commitment to continuous learning and development, with a willingness to stay abreast of the latest industry developments and technologies.
11. A strong commitment to health and safety, with a proven track record in promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
