Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of the company's manufacturing equipment, buildings, and systems.
- Implement and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
- Manage the maintenance team and ensure they have the necessary training and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management software.
