Job Summary:
- As a Maintenance Manager at our food production facility, you will oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance and reliability to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, developing preventive maintenance programs, and implementing strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency. Job Duties:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the effective execution of maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maintain the reliability and longevity of production equipment, including scheduling routine inspections, lubrication, and repairs.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications to improve performance and efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Manage the maintenance budget and resources effectively, including allocating manpower, spare parts, and equipment purchases to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies by conducting regular safety inspections, providing safety training, and promoting a culture of safety among maintenance staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance support.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes, reduce costs, and enhance equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food production environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as experience with PLCs and automation.
- Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve maintenance objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
