We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our food manufacturing team. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, efficiency, and management of our manufacturing plant. You will be directly responsible for the upkeep of our equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production line. This role requires a proactive and hands-on individual who has a deep understanding of machinery, inventory management, and troubleshooting techniques.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment in the manufacturing plant, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
2. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and life cycle.
3. Manage and control inventory of spare parts, equipment, and tools to ensure availability and minimize costs.
4. Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide immediate solutions to minimize downtime.
5. Coordinate with production and quality control teams to ensure machinery and equipment are compliant with safety and quality standards.
6. Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
8. Liaise with suppliers and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
9. Implement and uphold health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
10. Regularly report on maintenance activities, inventory status, and equipment performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven experience in inventory management and troubleshooting.
4. Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
7. Excellent negotiation skills, with experience in managing suppliers and contractors.
8. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff.
10. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other related computer applications.
