About the Job
LHH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager for a Manufacturing client located in Indianapolis. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility, ensuring that equipment and facilities are properly maintained to support production needs and maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment and facilities.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, systems, and facilities to identify and address issues proactively.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, to minimize downtime and disruptions to production.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies to support maintenance activities and ensure timely repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to optimize equipment performance and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among maintenance team members.
- Track maintenance metrics and performance indicators to monitor effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, controlling costs and expenses while maximizing value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth experience with:
- Steel presses and roll formers
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strapping and packaging machinery
- CNC machinery
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing and facility lighting
- Manual mill fabrication and shop equipment
