The Role:
The Maintenance Manager will ensure adequate tool and personnel capabilities are continuously developed and maintained for supporting a high volume 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities):
- Ensure safe and environmentally sound practices within all areas. Must conform to all safety regulations and or procedures and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Drive the development and implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance programs, procedures and measurements for all equipment.
- Develop and maintain the spare part management system to optimally balance the company's needs.
- Drive continuous improvements using data and lean techniques to reduce cost, improve quality and increase equipment OEE.
- Daily coordination with the production departments to gather data, complete maintenance projects and support effective training.
- Able to work through other groups outside of maintenance to accomplish desired results.
- Actively build the team through hiring, motivating and training employees to build capable departmental functions, for the required 24/7 operational support.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the understanding and application of leadership principles and supervisory tools for the efficient management of subordinates.
- Develop objectives and targets for the team and ensure proper execution to meet expected timely outcomes.
- Perform full range or managerial duties, including but not limited to: interviewing & hiring process, employee development and coaching, planning and assigning appropriate workloads.Complete performance management process, including setting goals, defining metrics, reporting and reviewing progress regularly, conducting performance review meetings, recommending merit/ pay increase, and/or developing appropriate action plan when performance is below acceptable standards.
You bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related.
- 10+ years of professional experience in the field of equipment/product maintenance and highly automated, 24x7, high tech, manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years direct leadership experience include hiring, employee coaching and development, performance management, and progressive discipline in a relevant, highly automated, 24x7, high tech, manufacturing environment.
- CMMS experience is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and manufacturing safety procedures is required (e.gl, lock-out/ tag-out, electrical/ high-voltage, chemical, reading MSDA, incident response procedures).
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, predictive maintenance, 5S and related manufacturing best practices is required.
- Strong analytical skills required. This includes experience with standard quality tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, and Process Mapping.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to the organization's operations.
- Language skills: English
A Plus:
- Professional experience in purchasing, ideally in solar, semiconductor, automotive industry, and or mechanical engineering.
- Bilingual/ Spanish
