Gpac is currently working with a family-owned food group in Chicago who is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager. The company has been in business for over 60 years and is going through a ton of growth!
In this role, you would lead a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth operation of their equipment and systems to support efficient, high-quality production. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values safety, reliability, and innovation in maintenance practices.
Key Highlights of the Role:
- Lead a talented team of maintenance technicians and supervisors across 3 plants, ensuring safety and operational protocols are upheld
- Oversee all preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks to keep operations running seamlessly
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in alignment with production needs
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely repairs
- Assess any problems with the equipment, identify root cause, make the necessary repairs and complete associated documentation
- Train new and existing mechanics
- Oversee maintenance department
- Perform all activities in compliance with company GMP and safety policies, procedures and practice
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years in a Maintenance Manager role working within food or beverage manufacturing
- Hands-on leadership style with strong technical skills
- Passionate about fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
