Overview:
Seeking for a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance-related activities within our plant. This role involves supervising maintenance repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising both direct and indirect maintenance employees, managing capital expenditure projects, and assisting in plant budget preparation and control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Promote and enforce plant safety guidelines and ensure adherence to MSHA safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Assign job responsibilities, set goals, and establish performance standards for the Maintenance Department team. Conduct regular performance evaluations and recommend merit increases and promotions.
- Maintenance Coordination: Review, plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance repairs, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities. Develop and execute major shutdown schedules, provide real-time updates, and facilitate post-shutdown critiques.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors for specific maintenance projects and engage with vendors to acquire new maintenance equipment and supplies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other department managers to prioritize maintenance projects and resolve unusual issues or difficulties. Collaborate with the Plant Manager on strategic planning and ensure alignment with plant goals.
- Budget & Planning: Assist in developing and managing the plant's annual budget, including the maintenance budget and capital project documentation. Work with the Planner to review and compile reports on maintenance activities.
- Training & Development: Ensure proper training is conducted for new and existing department employees on safety, operational procedures, and equipment use.
- Safety & Environmental Programs: Actively participate in plant safety and environmental programs, conduct safety meetings, and evaluate safety hazards.
- Maintenance Performance: Review maintenance reports to analyze trends and recommend improvements. Investigate and resolve any maintenance-related issues affecting plant operations.
- Labor Relations: Assist in labor contract negotiations, address issues before they become grievances, and meet with union representatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cement Manufacturing facility, with significant exposure to management responsibilities.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in planning and supervising maintenance schedules and activities.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and manage budgets.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve unusual maintenance issues.

- Ability to read, write, and understand technical documentation, warnings, instructions, and safety signs.
