Job Description
Facilitate the maintenance of all production equipment in order to maximize equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues for all operating shifts.
Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, but the Manager is responsible for all shifts and will require flexibility when needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, supervise and share best proven safe work methods with all maintenance team members for maximum equipment uptime for all shifts.
- Responsible for maintaining all equipment and facility records as required and any service activities undertaken.
- Lead and supervise plant maintenance programs based on best practices in the food industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Supervise and implement the use of critical spare part inventories and maintenance supplies, reordering as necessary, to prevent asset downtime and optimizing asset uptime.
- Maintain OSHA compliant working conditions of all electrical units and production equipment in the facility.
- Lead/demonstrate problem resolution, troubleshooting leadership skills, improving plant operations, eliminating maintenance-related causes of downtime, waste or inefficiency.
- Conducts employee performance reviews, based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
- Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate & solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Hands-on repairing of equipment alongside maintenance technicians.
- Complete administrative functions including; Employee Time Sheets and invoice approvals.
- Purchase Sanitation supplies as needed or directed by Plant Manager
- Actively Participate in the Safety Program, ensuring all Maintenance Team members are following all safety practices.
- Must maintain an ownership attitude towards your department.
- Maintain and repair farm and bossier carts.
- Perform any and all duties assigned by Plant Manager

- Pneumatics
- Mechanical drive systems
- Welding
- Drilling and tapping
- Must possess good organizational, communication, and problem solving skills as related to the field.
- Adhere to all SQF, HACCP, GMP, USDA, NFPA, OSHA guidelines & requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to bend, squat and maneuver around pieces of machinery.
- Must be able to actively engage equipment
- Must be able to physically complete all assigned tasks with/out reasonable accommodation.
