About the Job
A family-owned food manufacturer is seeking a qualified Maintenance Manager to join their growing team located in Brook Park, OH. This is a day shift position.
Responsibilities:
• Manages and directs the activities of the Maintenance Worker functions.
• Directs staff job results by hiring, coaching, training, counseling, and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
• Assists with development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Prepares departmental budget as well as schedules required maintenance purchases, remodeling and special projects.
• Directs department engaged in inspection and repair or equipment, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting and carpentry work.
• Develops, evaluates and maintains a preventative maintenance program.
• Assures that outside services are completed in accordance to the issued or understood statement of work orders.
• Conducts annual assessment of facility to identify safety issues or items that need to be repaired.
• Assures that department attends all required training safety training in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Reviews billing from contractors and purchases to ensure their accuracy.
• Inspects completed work for adherence to blueprints and other specifications.
• Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
• Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the public.
• Responsible for reporting food safety, quality or food defense concerns to the QA Manager.
• Conforms and ensures compliance with all Safety, GMP’s, health code regulations and Food Safety Policies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, maintenance management, or a related field. Required
• 3 years of maintenance experience including lock-out / tag-out safety procedures. Required
• 2 years of maintenance leadership experience, or related military leadership experience. Required
• Working knowledge of safety codes and other regulatory requirements. Required
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as chemical labels, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Required
• SQF certified, Millwright certified, and/or previously passed Sanitation training courses. Preferred
• Bilingual. Preferred
