Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and supporting the daily operations of the maintenance department, with a primary focus on maintaining plant equipment and facilities. This role ensures the implementation of safety protocols and promotes a safety-first culture within the department. Key responsibilities include providing technical and managerial leadership for equipment reliability, maintenance planning, facility upkeep, employee training, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), while also supporting root cause failure analysis led by the Reliability Engineer.

This role ensures the implementation of safety protocols and promotes a safety-first culture within the department. Key responsibilities include providing technical and managerial leadership for equipment reliability, maintenance planning, facility upkeep, employee training, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), while also supporting root cause failure analysis led by the Reliability Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance activities through the Maintenance Supervisor and Senior Maintenance Specialist.
- Implement and optimize work practices to maximize machine availability while managing costs.
- Plan and execute maintenance outages, considering labor needs and budget constraints.
- Organize training sessions and materials to enhance the skills of both hourly and salaried maintenance staff.
- Participate in the design, construction, and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Evaluate and design new equipment systems, recommending improvements to minimize costs, optimize maintenance and production efficiency, and enhance safety.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance Supervision/Management.
- Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical industrial systems and controls.
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, work execution, and feedback systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance MRO storeroom management.
- Project management expertise.
- Experience with maintenance KPIs and performance monitoring:
- PM Compliance (monthly)
- Schedule Compliance (weekly)
- Maintenance labor schedule loading
- Labor hours tracked on work orders
- Proficiency in precision maintenance tasks such as vibration analysis, laser alignment, and ultrasound.
- Ability to mentor and develop both salaried and hourly staff.
- Prior experience with CMMS systems.
- Experience in coordinating routine job plan reviews and updates with internal planners or external contractors.
