Maintenance, Janitorial, Part-Time

Under the supervision of the General Manager, maintains cleanliness and upkeep through all areas of the facility, including some light maintenance items as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Maintains a clean and safe facility at all times
• Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately
• Practices excellent customer service
• Performs general janitorial tasks throughout all areas of the facility:  Gymnasiums, fitness area, banquet rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, walking track, and outdoor grounds.
• Sets up chair and table configurations as directed in banquet area.
• Performs light maintenance items as directed.
• Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS 

Work is performed in several settings:

• A recreational facility
• Working indoors and outdoors
• This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED 

Standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, and telephones.  Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include floor cleaning machines, carpet cleaning machines, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Knowledgeable about equipment maintenance and repairs
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Experience in facility maintenance and operations is preferred
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
