Maintenance Helper 1st Shift - Flex-N-Gate

Maintenance Helper will perform general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in a manufacturing setting.  Will assist with maintaining the building, adjacent walks, grounds, and equipment as well as assist with other projects within the Maintenance Department. 

• Perform work according to standard procedures and building's operational schedule
• Minor carpentry, mechanical and plumbing repairs
• Process waste water
• Keep plant chiller and cooling tower cleaned and operational
• Change HVAC, cooling tower system and press filters
• Maintain and inspect water softener system
• Maintain and inspect scrap conveyors
• Use hand tools and power tools to make minor maintenance repairs and to maintain grounds and walks
• Perform touch up and finish painting
• Assist other Maintenance team members with projects
• All other duties as assigned by Manager

• Must be able to follow written and oral communication 
• Must be able to work independently
• Prefer minimum of 1 year experience working in maintenance role in manufacturing environment
• Able to work with hand and power tools
• Able to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Able to follow all applicable safety rules and procedures
