PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Seminars and training in supervision, communications, and ongoing improvement programs (IPM, Synchronous Manufacturing
- Knowledge of high vacuum systems and induction furnaces.
- Must be able to coach and counsel team members.
- Provide technical expertise and training in all maintenance related skills.
- 5 years' experience in a previous leadership role.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Uses tools as needed.
- Requires lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Requires lifting of up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Push/pull forces of up to 25 lbs. involving tools, parts and other service requirements.
- On feet most of day working in environments containing dust particles, noise, gas, toxic and caustic chemicals, welding fumes.
- Cold - repairs to outside equipment during winter.
- Hot - repairs to ovens and boilers during summer.

JOB SUMMARY
Supervise, troubleshoot, and communicate problems to Maintenance Manager, train and assist colleagues as needed and schedule department to meet daily requirements.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Corp EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- The ability to insure strong maintenance leadership in the efforts to increase manufacturing throughput (T), while decreasing maintenance inventory (I) and operating expense (OE).
- Promote and drive PM, TPM, and TEM efforts to meet operational goals and objectives.
- Promote communication through all levels of the organization with major emphasis within the team, across the teams and off shift supervisors.
- Span of control is typically one shift, however work will be scheduled for all shifts.
- Rotational assignments across shifts will be required in order to foster continuous improvement and employee development.
- Administer fair and consistent application of the employee guidebook.
- Establish an environment for motivation and involvement, through strong leadership, which provides the support and training to develop a team member's ability to efficiently complete assignments.
- Provide direction to the team in terms of goals, tasks, standards and delegation.
- Communicate and provide support to team members in terms of company goals, customer satisfaction, business environment, quality and productivity standards, problems and successes.
- Measure and acknowledge the performance of the team as a whole, as well as the individual performance of team members.
- Give work assignments (to all crafts) and ensures compliance to the Work Schedule.
- Follows-up on work assignments to ensure work orders get completed.
- Contact with all maintenance personnel on site, including outside contractors. The employee in the job also communicates daily with the leadership in other departments.
