Maintenance Field Operations Manager (FOM)

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Field Manager to join our team to help make our client's properties exceptional!
Summary:
Seeking a landscape professional responsible for ensuring delivery of best-in-class landscape maintenance to high end residential clients. As a Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for hiring and training staff, planning and scheduling service visits, and ensuring high quality service delivery. The services under this position’s management include mulch installation, lawn mowing (including robotics), and seasonal cleanups.
Key Job Duties:

Lead and manage 5 or more teams in the field to execute Mulch, Mowing (including robotic), and Seasonal Clean Up.

Organize and prioritize tasks for each project or visit with consistent delivery of standard work process.

Ensure your teams are delivering exceptional service and creating raving fans.

Maintain weekly service schedules, and organize the necessary equipment, personnel, and material needed for your team.

Be a regular presence on properties, keeping a detailed eye on their overall health and aesthetic.

Work alongside your teams to reinforce safety and training curriculums.

Report on properties and status of work frequently and clearly with your team and other managers.

Participate in morning dispatch and end of day procedures.

Oversee the loading of vehicles with appropriate tools and products.

Assist with weekly team training at NatureWorks and enforce/uphold those practices with the team in the field

Read and follow work ticket instructions and maintain issues list within appropriate due dates.

Report on work completed and communicate with your Production Manager and Account Managers when client issues arise.

Ensure team is using the time tracking software correctly to capture accurate job costing and time for work tickets each day.

Accurate reporting of work times for employee hours, tasks, and work tickets in software.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
-
Bi-Lingual (English / Spanish) required

Degree in horticulture or plant soil science preferred

Certifications including MCA, MCLP, MCH preferred

Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn and utilize business software to set and update crew schedules, approve timesheets, etc.

MA Pesticide License is preferred

MA Hoisting License (or ability to get one within 90 days)
Required Work Experience
-
7+ years working in the landscape industry
-
4+ years in a supervisory role
-
Snow and ice operations in supervisory role
Physical Requirements (if any)
This position requires the ability to perform the essential physical functions with or without reasonable accommodation. These include:

Stand and walk throughout a minimum 8-hour shift

Lift and move heavy items, up to 50 pounds

Regularly bend, lift, stretch, twist and reach below the waist and above the head
-
Climb in and out of trucks, equipment, and trailers numerous times per day

Work in all weather conditions and seasons
Licensing, Certification or Education Requirements

Driver's License and ability to get a DOT medical card is required for this role

Shift: Begins at 6:30 a.m.

Year Round Employment: Participation on winter snow services is required
