Job Summary:
The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and improvement of our manufacturing facilities. This role ensures the smooth operation of all building systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, and manages maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will also lead efforts to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Management:
o Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring all systems and infrastructure are functioning efficiently.
o Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for building systems and manufacturing equipment.
o Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, renovations, and equipment upgrades.
2. Maintenance Operations:
o Supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective resolution of equipment issues.
o Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, including laser drilling machines, automated optical inspection systems, electroplating equipment, and electrical testing systems.
o Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools to minimize production disruptions.
3. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.
o Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and equipment.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify hazards and address concerns proactively.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
o Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
o Track maintenance costs and identify opportunities for savings or process improvements.
5. Team Leadership:
o Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance staff to build a high-performing team.
o Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations for maintenance personnel.
o Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
6. Project Management:
o Lead facility improvement and expansion projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
o Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize facility layouts and workflows.
o Support new equipment installations and commissioning processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facilities and maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and production equipment.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams and facility improvement projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA and environmental compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in facilities management (CFM), maintenance management (CMRP), or similar.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
