Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:
The Maintenance & Facilities Manager will supervise the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance associates and provide support to the operation of all Lantech Manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment and systems such as paint line, air compressors, drill presses, welders, lasers, brakes, CNC mills & lathes, waste water treatment, and fork trucks. This role requires a strong focus on coordinating maintenance projects, developing and maintaining a robust preventative maintenance program, managing outside contractors, and negotiating repair costs. The Maintenance and Facilities Manager will be responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance for all production and facility equipment, promptly addressing production downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment up-time. This position also involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and 5S principles, preparing and posting job openings, conducting performance appraisals, and managing the budget for maintenance expenditures.
This position is responsible for all facilities (4 Lantech buildings and 1 airplane hangar) and their related systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof systems, landscaping, and mowing. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a proven track record in leadership and maintenance management.
What are We Looking For? (Requirements)
We are looking for someone who:
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, welding and fabricating experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical Maintenance is required
- Working knowledge of PLC programming required, Allen Bradley preferred
- Must have communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities that will assist in successfully scheduling and assigning multiple tasks for completion under strict time constraints
- Project management
- Communicate professionally with all levels of the organization (associates and management)
- MS Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Must possess a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electrical codes
- Must be a change agent with capability of leading on-going continuous improvement initiatives
- Must possess high involvement and team-oriented leadership experience
- This experience must also be quality and customer focused
- Must be an "on-the-scene" decision-maker, problem solver and facilitator
Education & Experience:
Two-year college or vocational school degree in a related field with 5 years of related manufacturing maintenance supervision (combination of mechanical and electrical) experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
