Maintenance Equipment Mechanic - Superior Bindery Inc

Maintenance Equipment Mechanic: Performs general maintenance, upkeep, and repair for assigned equipment and facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Performs general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility's equipment and systems.
•Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues.
•Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
•Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities
•Retrieves supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
•Performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs and services equipment as requested
•Assist facilities/logistics personnel with special projects as necessary.
•Follows work orders effectively and accounts for time according to company policy.
•Assist interdepartmentally as necessary at the discretion of management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

•Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instruction
•Must be able to work with minimal supervision
•Ability to work with hand and power tools
•Ability to operate equipment required for moving product from one location to another and or accessing hard to reach locations
•Moderate computer skills/ability to utilize plant software for time and work order tracking

Education/Experience:

• At least two years of related experience required.
• Forklift operator certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
•Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
•Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, crawl, etc.
