Innovative beverage manufacturer in SoCal is looking to add a Maintenance Engineering Manager to their team. Aside from manufacturing, this company has also become a leader in Research and Development of formulating the latest & greatest blends of beverages.
The Maintenance Engineering Manager position is an office position working at their state-of-the-art facility in San Diego.
The Maintenance Engineering Manager will provide leadership and clear direction to establish and refine preventative maintenance programs, employee training programs, staffing and scheduling of mechanics, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, and regulatory compliance programs to name a few.
The Maintenance Engineering Manager must be able to communicate a clear vision and gain support from key stakeholders, be passionate and deeply committed to driving out waste and operational losses through deployment of world class maintenance and continuous improvement tools. The Maintenance Engineering Manager will provide technical guidance and expertise, assist and coach Maintenance, Operations, and QA on an ongoing basis. They will track and evaluate maintenance performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPl's) with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in alignment with Maintenance Excellence initiatives to produce critical reports.
The Maintenance Engineering Manager will maintain compliance in HACCP, FOP, GMP and OSHA requirements and ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations are met at all times. They will maintain department safety record, monitor maintenance personnel's adherence to safety rules, follow progressive disciplinary process to correct unsafe acts.
The Maintenance Engineering Manager is accountable for managing and performance of all site utilities including boilers, refrigeration systems, air compressors, water sourcing, electrical systems, HVAC and building maintenance, and related permitted and regulated requirements.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Proven track record of successful maintenance management and/or plant engineering in a food/beverage manufacturing environment
