Location: San Marcos, CA 92069
Hours: Monday - Friday - ONSITE
Pay: $110,000 - $150,000 DOE

An industry leading beverage manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The current maintenance engineer will be retiring next summer, and they want to ensure ample time for training. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability.
· Facility and property upkeep, repairs, preventative maintenance, stormwater requirements and work projects
· Coordinate with vendors, request RFP's, manage work orders and budgets.
· Supervise all administrative and operational functions relating to plant maintenance, repairs and inspection of machines.
· Maintain a routine inspection and maintenance schedule for all fluid products processing machines, belt, and chain driven systems, refrigeration units and related plant equipment.
· Maintain business records directly applicable to the administrative and operational needs of the facility and plant.
· Maintain blueprints of facilities, utility layouts and technical manuals for machinery and refrigeration systems as necessary for operational use.
· Manage, lead and mentor employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Oversee the fabrication and manufacturing of equipment for production needs and ensure such fabrication and manufacturing is in accordance with the applicable safety regulations; product and process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, pneumatic lines, etc.
· Documentation of all schematic and diagram changes to keep plant records current.
· Ensure all elements of the Preventive Service Maintenance (PSM) program are followed.
· Responsible for distributing work, monitoring progress, completion and accuracy of work assigned.
· Responsible for drafting, updating and maintaining standard operating procedures and instruction manuals for department repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years' hands on experience as a Plant Maintenance/Engineering Manager in a food production environment
· Strong technical knowledge of production equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, electrical, and related equipment.
· Proven record of leadership, program management, communication and organizational skills.
Skills Needed: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good math and statistical skills, Excellent computer skills for data input, report writing, and program tracking, Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is constantly required to stand; walk; occasionally crawl, squat, kneel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop. The employee occasionally must push, pull; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts; and the noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
