Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 + 10%
Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities within the organization. This role involves managing the maintenance team, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Manager collaborates with various departments to minimize downtime, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall equipment performance. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance operations.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage a team of 14-16 maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Establish and maintain maintenance schedules for key equipment and facilities.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement measures to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations teams to address recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement measures to optimize maintenance-related expenditures.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance services and equipment procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost-effective services.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies.
- Implement safety measures and training programs to promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history and repair logs.
- Generate regular reports on maintenance performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in maintenance operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance overall equipment performance and reliability.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5-10 years in maintenance/engineering management, must be in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- A minimum of 5 years of Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a maintenance team.
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery, equipment, and maintenance processes.
