ACT Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment in commercial, industrial, and government settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, providing timely resolutions.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on machinery.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure precise repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure equipment availability and performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all performed work.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics or apprentices when necessary.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and mechanical codes.
- 40-hour training and safety protocols for working on EPA-regulated projects and contaminated sites.
- Experience with electrical systems, including controls, motors, starters, limit switches, well pumps, conduit bending, and troubleshooting in commercial and industrial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to pass background clearance, fitness/physical assessments, and drug screening prior to onboarding.
Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to work at heights, including on scissor lifts, man lifts, and ladders.
- Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Possession of standard electrician tools required for the job (large equipment is provided).

Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
