How you will contribute:
We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our growing company. In this role you will look after the electrical systems of Plantible"s plant and industrial machinery. As Maintenance Electrician, you will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical appliances/machinery for the plant. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate and sustainable impact in the development of the company, while having the opportunity to grow along with Plantible's expansion.
What you will be working on:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform troubleshooting to identify electrical problems and implement solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on projects.
- Provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
- Keep abreast of advancements in electrical technology and codes.
What you bring to Plantible:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- 3-5 years Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning, evening or night shifts, as needed.
- A desire to contribute and make a sustainable impact!
- Technical Knowledge: Electrician certification. Proficient understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently and effectively.
- Blueprint Reading: Skill in interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to plan and execute installations and repairs.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with precision and accuracy to ensure the quality and safety of electrical systems.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Position may require frequent walking, standing, sitting, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, convey technical information, and provide excellent customer service.
- Time Management: Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for analyzing complex electrical issues and developing innovative solutions.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Work Environment: Frequent computer usage and the ability to use both hands and feet, arms, and legs - working manufacturing plant with exposure to frequent dust, loud noise, cold and hot temperatures often with no climate control in place.
