Shift: 12-hour shift, 4/3 schedule
What this job involves - The Maintenance Electrician will complete work orders, preventive maintenance and repairs all electrical-related items inside of distribution center. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within Jones Lang LaSalle standards and guidelines.
What is the day to day?
- Electrical Installation: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Inspecting electrical systems, identifying issues, and conducting diagnostic tests to determine the cause of electrical problems. Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components, such as circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and wiring.
- Wiring and Circuitry: Planning and executing electrical wiring layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Ensuring proper grounding and circuitry to minimize electrical hazards.
- Electrical Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely. This may include inspecting and testing electrical equipment, cleaning electrical components, and lubricating moving parts.
- Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Adhering to electrical code regulations and maintaining proper documentation of electrical installations and repairs.
- Reading Blueprints and Technical Diagrams: Interpreting construction plans, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to execute electrical installations accurately.
- Upgrading Electrical Systems: Advising clients or employers on the need for upgrading electrical systems to meet current standards and energy-efficiency requirements.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with construction teams, architects, project managers, and other trades professionals to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project.
- Customer Service: Communicating effectively with clients or building occupants, addressing their electrical concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
Required:
Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings
2+ years of experience working in a commercial and/or industrial environment
Must be capable of working in a team environment, working alone or with other trades outside of your own individual trade.
Ability to work 12-hour shift (both day and night shifts open)
Preferred:
Experience working in a GMP environment
2-3 years’ validated CMMS experience
Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System)
Work Environment:
Working inside of automated manufacturing distribution center
