Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation Technician to join our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and instrumentation equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality are essential for success in this role.
Job Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
- Replace conduit as needed for new installations and repairs, adhering to electrical codes and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues using appropriate testing equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address electrical or instrumentation issues affecting production or product quality.
- Interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Assist in planning and implementing upgrades or modifications to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an industrial electrician and instrumentation technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams and blueprints.
- Skilled in using electrical and instrumentation testing equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
