Job Title: Maintenance Electrician 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: McDonough County
Job type and Duration: Direct Hire
Hours: 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm; 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as lathes, grinders, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Experienced with PLC software, ladder logic, inverter drives, and servo drive applications.
Coordinates upgrades and recommends alternative repair options
Works closely with Electrican Engineers on machine upgrades and other projects as needed
Advanced PLC & HMI programming abilities
Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostics
Experienced with 480V power.
Support the plant quality systems goals / improvements and productivity goals & improvements within the scope of the job.
Support the plant safety programs and goals within the scope of the job.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Compliance with applicable Company, Corporate, State, and Federal regulations.
5S (Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, and Sustain) is required of every job.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two years related experience and / or training; or combination of education and experience. Completion of any formalized training courses as identified by Department Supervisor / Facilities Engineering Manager.
