Position Summary
Ensures the building(s), equipment, and facility grounds are maintained in accordance with state, federal, and company policies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Performs minor to major repairs and supervises the day-to-day repair, improvement, and preventative maintenance of the building(s), equipment, lawn, and grounds
· Arranges for and manages outside repairs, maintenance, and construction services according to facility procedures
· Maintains required records, manages budgets and supplies
· Conducts in-service training sessions about the building, safety and disaster planning, as needed
· Supervises maintenance personnel (if any) and schedules adequate coverage, as appropriate. Assigns duties and evaluates work performance, as necessary
· Must be on call at all times unless prior arrangements have been made with the executive director
· Manages contract compliance as pertains to maintenance services
· Performs routine checks on major systems such as auxiliary generator, fire alarms, door alarms, nurse call system, and department equipment
· Conducts periodic inspections of the building
· Maintain emergency generator according to facility policy and regulations
· Performs other related duties as required or requested
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Highschool diploma or equivalent
· 2+ years of maintenance experience required
· Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
