The primary purpose of the Director of Maintenance is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the overall maintenance operations of the facility while complying with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
• Conduct Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Preventative Maintenance audits to ensure the working order of facility equipment,Tels experience is a plus.
You must have the ability to maintain all inspection requirements,fire drills, elopment drills and participate in orientation of new hires with a safety training presentation and tour of the facility and explain and demonstrate fire extinguishers use and locations.
You must have successful knowledge and survey experience with experience with Life safety.
• Maintain documentation of routine and preventative maintenance measures as it pertains to facility generator, fire alarm, and sprinkler systems.
Maintain the grounds of the building .
• Order and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
• Coordinate services from outside vendors
• Have working knowledge of and perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanics painting, and other various tasks
• Participate in compliance or other required training programs
• Attend Department Head meetings
• Supervise the Maintenance Assistant
• Have prior experience in Long Term Care or Healthcare setting
• Display positivity and tact when interacting with customers, visitors, personnel, government entities, and the public
