We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and repairing process control instruments, ensuring optimal performance, and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation systems and equipment, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and other process control devices.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in instrumentation systems to ensure timely repairs and minimal disruption to operations.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all instrumentation systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation for all repairs, installations, and calibrations.
- Use specialized testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibrators to ensure accuracy and reliability of instruments.
- Support commissioning and decommissioning of instrumentation systems during new installations or system upgrades.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while working on-site.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in instrumentation, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation systems in an industrial, manufacturing, or process control environment.
- Strong knowledge of process control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA (International Society of Automation) and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.
- Physical ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and harsh weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- May involve exposure to hazardous materials, high temperatures, or noisy machinery.
- Requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or be on-call for emergency maintenance.
