Operate machinery and equipment in and around properties owned by the Lehigh Northampton Airport Author...MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A team player who is cooperative, punctual, hardworking and dependable, with a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to performing mechanical repairs.
Available nights, weekends and as needed for emergency and after-hours calls for assistance.
Above-average attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Able to expertly operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, including heavy snow removal equipment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Willing to positively represent LNAA (internally and externally) through dedication to departmental goals and the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.
TESTING/ EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must pass skill-level testing administered by contracted agency.
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to TSA security clearance, fingerprinting, pre-employment drug test.
Must receive CDL Class B driver’s license within twelve (12) months of hire.
Must maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
High school diploma required, along with strong basic math skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to speak and hear.
Must be able to be move within work area.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
Work environment is fast-paced and dynamic.
Work is regularly performed near moving mechanical parts and in high or precarious places using ladders and mechanical lifts.
Outside work is required under variable seasonal weather conditions, with long hours during snow removal operations.
Limited but routine exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
