About the Job
The Hermès Ala Moana Boutique opened in 2003 and focuses on providing extraordinary service to clients as a part of the Western Region. This position will report to the Operations Manager and will work collaboratively with the Operations Director, Loss Prevention Manager, and Regional Facilities Manager for all overall maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of the boutique in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
The Opportunity:
The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Associate are to aid in managing & coordinating contract cleaning services and maintenance vendors, in partnership with Operations & Facilities, and providing updates and reports where necessary. The Associate will be responsible for ensuring the boutique maintains a perfect and clean appearance throughout the store's operating hours. This includes cleanliness of shelving, display cases & windows, glass surfaces, restrooms, trash bins, team kitchen/bistro, break room, bar areas, refrigerators, and other common areas throughout the store. Additionally, the Maintenance Associate will aid in the coordination & setup/breakdown of equipment that may be required for special events.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
About the Role:
- Responsible for regular monitoring and cleaning of shelves, display cases, glass surfaces, restrooms and common areas throughout the store operating hours.
- Responsible for addressing and resolving assigned maintenance tasks, coordinating with vendors and Store Director / Construction Department, and keeping LP and senior management informed.
- Supervising all technicians in store and understanding all aspects and systems in the building.
- Provide a daily update on Maintenance progress. Must have strong communication skills to build relationships and understand e-mail and computer systems.
- Ensure safety of store staff on assigned projects and maintenance emergencies.
- Review environmental safety issues at the store and raise concerns to supervisor.
- Manage store maintenance/facilities and cleaning supplies (i.e.. Light bulbs, cleaning solutions, bathroom supplies, etc.)
- Supervise cleaning crews.
- Help with Store Events by executing Back of House miscellaneous needs, i.e. deliveries, installations, break downs etc.
- Manage stock levels of kitchen supplies & perishables to include bistro/bar supplies for servicing guests with tea, champagne, and/or water.
- All other duties assigned by supervisor.

About You:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in facility and maintenance, preferably in a high-end environment.
- High School Diploma
- Physical Demands: Work requires frequent standing, walking and use of tools and cleaning equipment. Work requires frequent bending, reaching and occasional lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Work is subject to telephone and personal contact with supervisor and employees, store specialists, outside maintenance vendors. Work requires good manual dexterity and eye to hand coordination. Proper attire is required at all times.
- Working Conditions: Work may require overnight stays. Work can include long hours; weekends and holidays due to schedule restraints.
- Must be a self-motivator. Must be an achiever. Must be accountable, responsible, and responsive. Must be willing to learn and grow professionally.
- This position requires the ability to multi-task between the following, but not limited to: regular maintenance, emergency maintenance repairs, daily correspondence with stores and vendors, etc.
- Must be able to work alone, ability to work independently with hands-on experience and know-how
- Must be able to communicate with email and Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
The hourly range for this position is $26.54 - $29.33. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
