We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Maintenance Apprentice to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The Maintenance Apprentice role is a permanent position that offers hands-on experience and training in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, quality control, and troubleshooting, with a keen eye for process improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills and career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Apprentice, your duties will include:
1. Assisting the maintenance team in the upkeep, repair, and smooth operation of all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems within the facility.
2. Adhering to, and ensuring compliance with, all health and safety regulations.
3. Conducting regular inspections of all machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
4. Assisting in the implementation of quality control measures and ISO standards.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
7. Working closely with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
8. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work carried out.
9. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Maintenance Apprentice role, you should have:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in facility management, quality control, and troubleshooting.
3. A strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
4. Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and ISO standards.
5. Experience in training and development and process improvement.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A commitment to ongoing learning and skill development.
9. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
